Happy St. David’s Day
Happy St. David’s Day from all of us at IG Doors! As a proud Welsh manufacturer, we are excited to celebrate this special day that honours the patron saint of Wales and the rich cultural heritage of our beautiful country. 🌼
At IG Doors, we take immense pride in our Welsh roots, and St. David’s Day gives us the perfect opportunity to reflect on the values that define us. We believe in quality craftsmanship, innovation, and a commitment to excellence, all inspired by the spirit of Wales.
What Is St. David’s Day? 💛
To mark the day, the 1st of March, many Welsh people around the world wear one, or both, of Wales’s national emblems – a daffodil and a leek. Special concerts and parades are also held in St David’s honour.
The phrase by Dewi Sant (St. David), gwnewch y pethau bychain mewn bywyd – “Do the little things in life” – is still a well-known phrase in Wales.
How We Are Celebrating ✨
To celebrate the occasion the IG Doors office will be indulging in some Welsh cakes, for a real taste of Wales.
These cherished treats have been beloved in Wales since the late 19th century, providing a delicious link to history. Originating during the coal mining era when men worked in the mines, the lady of the house would bake these delightful cakes.
