Classic44: New Door Styles Added

At IG Doors, we’re proud to be part of projects that make a difference. That’s why we’re proud to supply our high-quality front doors for affordable and social housing projects like One Lockleaze, delivered by Goram Homes.
This week, twenty brand-new council-owned homes were officially handed over to Bristol City Council for social rent and shared ownership. These homes are part of a larger development of 268 properties, over 55% of which will be affordable housing—well above the city’s policy standard of 30%. This is a significant step toward addressing Bristol’s housing challenges and ensuring more people have access to safe and affordable homes.
This project is part of a wider effort to provide much-needed homes while ensuring councils can also maintain and improve existing housing stock. It’s fantastic to see our doors playing a small but important role in building stronger communities across the UK.
We know that having a secure, warm, and comfortable home can be life-changing. That’s why we are dedicated to working with housing developers, councils, and housing associations to supply doors that contribute to the safety, efficiency, and overall quality of social and affordable housing projects.
Energy Efficiency: High levels of insulation and ground source heat pumps will help keep these homes warm while reducing energy costs for residents.
Community-Focused Lettings: With a local lettings policy in place, people with connections to Lockleaze will be prioritized for up to half of the social rented homes—helping to strengthen the local community.
Durable & Secure Doors: IG Doors is proud to have supplied high-quality, secure front doors, ensuring safety, thermal efficiency, and long-term durability.
A huge thank you to Goram Homes, Vistry Group, and Bristol City Council for their ongoing work in delivering much-needed homes. We can’t wait to see families moving in and making these houses their homes. We are honored to have been selected as the supplier for this important project.
